The Eemlandhoeve is a green oasis in the middle of an urban region, not far from the Eem River. It is centrally located in the Eemland region and is easily accessible from the city of Amersfoort and the busy A1 interstate. Previously a classic farm, the Eemlandhoeve is now a bustling meeting place where city meets countryside. Businesses hold meetings in natural, green surroundings. Children and adults alike experience the countryside in all it's glory.

The Eemlandhoeve grounds have the feel of a small village. The main farmhouse and deep litter barn, store, meeting rooms, coffee house, care farm and landscape house are all centrally located. Surrounding them are the vegetable garden, organic gardens, pond, meadows, sheds and, far off in the distance, the skyline of Amersfoort.

It is a place to enjoy the peace and quiet, but also a place to care for people, animals, trees and plants. The Eemlandhoeve is a farm where life is exuberantly celebrated.

The Mission

Creating connections and encounters between farmers and citizens, between city and countryside, between the Creator and creation; with an eye to sustainable living.

This mission statement is translated into a number of goals:

To reconnect citizens with the countryside and it's farmers through meetings, recreation and relaxation, learning and caring - an oasis near the city.
To renew agri-culture: the countryside has so much more to offer. At the Eemlandhoeve the old rural cultural values are rediscovered: care for the earth, for animals, for artesian products, for people, for teaching future generations, and care for relaxation.
To demonstrate, as a business, that innovation works: we do this through a relatively new form of business: social entrepreneurs focused on a sustainable countryside.
To develop a broader social movement: by positioning itself within various social networks concerning the new countryside, the Eemlandhoeve exerts influence on this movement. This occurs on a local, regional, national and European level.
To deepen the values of a lifestyle in which your heart is touched (passion), you remain true to your dreams (vision) and you do what you say (courage).
