Not so long ago everyone had a farmer in the family.  But that is not the case anymore.  We are losing touch with our food, our nature and our own living environment.   In order to renew that contact, the Eemlandhoeve functions as a unique learning environment.  Children, youth, students and adults alike are welcome to come and learn about the plants, landscapes, food and sustainable lifestyle.  The Eemlandhoeve tells the same story that farmers have been telling for centuries:  the story of how food grows, how nature lives and moves and how you can interact with your living environment in a sustainable way.

The Landscape House

One of the first Landscape Houses that is built by a farmer in the Netherlands is found on the grounds of the Eemlandhoeve.  The Landscape House is available for schools, visitors and residents of the region that want to learn more about the national landscape.  The Eemlandhoeve Landscape House has exposition rooms, a farm cinema, multi-media equipment and a beautiful conference room filled with fanciful woodwork creations.
